I graduated from New York University in 2000 with an MSW and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State since 2005. Much of my early clinical experience came from treating adolescents and their families in a preventive services program in Brooklyn, where I subsequently served for a time as Director. Throughout my career I have provided clinical supervision to MSW students and to early-career clinicians. I’ve always been an intellectually curious person and believe in continuing my education. I completed post-graduate training at JBFCS, as well as the Institute for the Psychological Study of Subjectivity (IPSS) in Manhattan, where I am a psychoanalytic candidate. My clinical orientation utilizes self psychology, subjectivity, and relational theories.
In my practice I work with both younger and older adults who suffer from a wide range of issues, often dealing with depression, anxiety, loss, low self-esteem, and relational trauma. I currently accept Medicare and can sometimes offer a sliding scale fee.
