I am a licensed clinical neuropsychologist who enjoys helping adults (18 and up) develop the tools to cope effectively with life’s challenges. I have specialized training in neuropsychology, which focuses on understanding and addressing cognitive and emotional changes that may arise in the context of normal aging, illness, injury, or dementia. I combine techniques rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and neuropsychology to help clients develop awareness, identify barriers, challenge thoughts, experiment with new behaviors, and practice effective ways of reaching goals. I have experience working in a variety of VA and civilian medical centers where I completed specialized training in evidence-based treatments for insomnia (CBT-I), OCD (ERP), and PTSD (CPT & PE). I am fluent in Spanish, and my research on culturally competent neuropsychological assessment has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at conferences nationwide.
